Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) is a process that enables the automatic configuration and deployment of network devices. ZTP reduces the manual configuration and installation processes for network administrators to add a new device to the network.

Advantages:

1. Automatic Configuration: ZTP enables automatic configuration of network devices, reducing human error and significantly shortening setup time.

2. Rapid and Easy Deployment: ZTP allows new devices to be swiftly integrated into the network. Manual configuration time is eliminated, making devices quickly ready for use.

3. Scalability: ZTP can be effectively used even in large-scale networks. New devices are easily added to the network, reducing workload as the network grows.

4. Error Reduction: The risk of errors during manual configuration is significantly reduced with ZTP. Standard configuration templates are used, minimizing human error.

5. Remote Management: ZTP supports remote management. Devices are automatically configured, and updates can be applied remotely.

General Attributes

  • Supports Hub & Spoke Topology.
  • Supports Full Mesh Topology.
  • Data traffic between Hub and Spoke devices is provided over encrypted tunnels.
  • Control traffic between endpoint devices and central management devices is provided over encrypted tunnels.
